Already from the middle of the 17th century farming and cattle breeding was practiced on the present property of the Wichmann family.
About us
History of the facility
Dear guests,
we are very pleased to welcome you to our website.
With a lot of enthusiasm, attention to detail and hard work, our beginnings with the small vacation resort “Owl’s Nest” has now developed into the hotel complex “Tarnewitzer Hof” through extensive renovation and expansion, which has fortunately not lost any of its family charm. This is as important to me and my family as the traditional continuation of Nordic hospitality.
Let a successful vacation day end in peace with us and enjoy in our cozy restaurant with fireplace room, or on one of our sun terraces, the Mecklenburg cuisine, with which you will be spoiled by our dedicated and family team.
Relax in a harmonious atmosphere with coastal flair in the direct vicinity of the salt marshes of Boltenhagen. We wish you a pleasant and relaxing visit in our house.

17th century
From 1877
Since 1877 the Schulze Wichmann was mentioned as the owner for the first time. In 1902 the big main house was built, which burned down already 30 years later – but the reconstruction took place in the same year.
From 1877
50s
Until the Aktion Rose in the 50s, the Wichmann family ran the estate on their own. The LPG “Klützer Winkel” took over the farm until the fall of the Berlin Wall and then it reverted to family ownership.
1993
On December 9, 1993 we acquired the property to fulfill a childhood dream – the desire to create and run our own hotel and restaurant according to new standards.
